Akshay Kumar who is making inspiring films recently is coming to the Indian audience with another movie that inspires patriotism. “Gold” as the film is named, is a historical sports drama inspired by India’s first Olympic Gold medal. Popular Television actress Mouni Roy was also roped in for a pivotal role along with Kunal Kapoor, Amith Sadh, Vineet Kumar Singh, Sunny Kaushal, etc.

The film’s story as said by Reema Kagti covers 12 crucial years in the Indian Hockey History along with the first ever Gold medal that was won in 1948. The trailer was inspiring as it is and started with Akshay revealing the record that existed in Hockey in the name of British India and his determination to create a record in the name of Independent India by defeating London in their own place in the Olympics.

After the introduction of the lead actors with patriotism inspiring dialogues, the trailer gives us a glimpse of pre-Independence riots and the difficulties the hockey team endured at the time ultimately giving way to the grandiose moment where India plays in a star-studded arena. It was careful not to reveal the big moment making the audience intrigued.

The film is slated to have a grand release on the Independence-day.
